Novena University welcomed 952 new students at its 16th Matriculation Ceremony, held for the 2020/2021 academic session. The record intake reflected the growing confidence of students and families across Nigeria in the quality and standards of Novena University's academic programmes.
A New Generation of Novena Students
The matriculation ceremony is one of the most significant occasions in the university calendar — the formal moment at which new students are officially welcomed into the academic community and take the matriculation oath, committing themselves to the values of academic integrity, discipline, and excellence that define Novena University.
The 952 students came from across Nigeria and represented a broad range of disciplines across Novena's colleges: Natural and Applied Sciences, Management and Social Sciences, Medical and Health Sciences, Law, Computing and Information Technology, and the Postgraduate School.
Growth That Reflects Quality
The record intake was a clear signal of the growing trust placed in Novena University as a destination institution for higher education in Nigeria. The numbers reflect both the expansion of available programmes and the growing reputation of Novena's faculty and academic standards among prospective students and secondary schools.
