On June 6, 2024, the National Universities Commission (NUC) granted full accreditation to the Nursing Degree programme at Novena University — a major step forward for the College of Medical and Health Sciences.

The accreditation confirms that Novena University's Nursing programme meets the highest standards set by the NUC's Benchmark Minimum Academic Standards, including qualified nursing faculty, clinical placement arrangements, laboratory facilities, and curriculum rigour.

Training the Next Generation of Nigerian Nurses

Nursing at Novena University combines clinical training with strong academic foundations in anatomy, physiology, pharmacology, and community health. Graduates enter the profession as fully qualified Registered Nurses, eligible for licensure by the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria (NMCN).

The full accreditation of the Nursing programme adds to Novena's growing list of NUC-accredited health science offerings, which include Medicine (MBBS), Dentistry (BDS), Pharmacy (Pharm.D), Medical Laboratory Science (B.MLS), and Optometry.
