The Teaching Hospital project represents one of the largest private healthcare infrastructure investments in Nigerian university history, positioning Novena University as a future destination for advanced medical training and specialist healthcare.
What the Hospital Will Deliver
Key features of the planned facility include: 240 inpatient beds across specialised wards; dedicated clinical training facilities for MBBS, Nursing, Pharmacy, Dentistry, and allied health students; diagnostic imaging and laboratory services to international standard; specialist outpatient clinics serving Delta State and neighbouring states; and postgraduate medical training and research capabilities.
Impact on Medical Education
Novena University's College of Medical and Health Sciences currently trains students in MBBS (Medicine & Surgery), BDS (Dentistry), Pharm.D, Nursing, Medical Laboratory Science, and Optometry. The development of an on-campus teaching hospital will enable students to complete their clinical rotations at the highest standard, without requiring extensive placement arrangements off-campus.
